1. Get to know the Napa Valley. Start searching by going online; feel free to ask your hotel, ask your limousine tour company and make sure you go to the Napa visitors information center. They are quite helpful. Make sure you request a map of the entire Napa Valley region.
Napa Valley is one of the premier travel destinations in the world. Napa Valley is divided into five regions: Napa, Calistoga, St. Helena, Oakville/Rutherford, and Yountville. Millions of tourists visit the Napa Valley each and every year. Napa Valley is home to over 300 wineries, and each Napa winery has its own unique charm. Remember, you won't be able to visit all of the wineries. Many visitors are overwhelmed by these choices and often miss some of the best wineries the valley has to offer. We are here to help.
2. Select four or five wineries to visit within a 6 to 8 hour wine tour. The best and safest way to enjoy the wineries, is by hiring a limousine company. Our recommendation is to choose a company from the area and knows and have lived in the region.
Regarding wineries choices? Choose a wine tour that consists of a few "large" wineries, a cave tour and a few boutique wineries which will result in a great experience; a complete wine tasting tour day.

3. After you decide which wineries you will visit, go to the each winery's website to find out tasting room hours, tasting prices, wine selection and tour information. Some wineries have tours every hour, others may be restricted to just one or several per day. And, make sure you call and make reservations as early as possible especially during peak season!
Remember, most winery tours charge a fee but include tasting several wines. Robert Mondavi is one of the most popular tours. Sterling Vineyards is another self-guided tour that includes an aerial tram.
5. Lastly, you can either pick up your lunch at an excellent cafe and enjoy a lunch at the winery or go to a restaurant. Many wineries have a picnic area. Some wineries you can purchase food and wine at their store.
6. Don't forget the most important thing... enjoy yourself!!!
